HR Specialist

Company is a world leader in the spice, flavor & seasonings industry. They are seeking a full time Human Relations Specialist in its Flavor Manufacturing Center (FMC) in Hunt Valley, Maryland. responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Benefit administration and training
  • Management of FMLA process
  • Attendance tracking
  • Recruitment and interview process
  • Employee data collection and input to include processing employee promotion and organizational changes
  • New hire orientation and onboarding
  • Administer and ensure compliance with HR programs, practices, policies and procedures
  • Maintenance of employee files
  • Reporting and analysis
  • Management of wage and salary programs
  • Employee counseling and coaching
  • Management of other projects, duties, and HR programs as assigned
 
qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Acceptable attendance required
  • Meets standards in in overall performance rating in most recent review
  • Minimum of 12 college credits in Human Resources/Relations and/or in a related field required/Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Relations experience required
  • Ability to work different shifts fluctuating between 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd
  • Experience in recruitment and interviewing required
  • Experience reading and understanding detailed/complex documents and instructions required
  • Experience preparing and presenting training materials required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Experience exercising sound judgment in dealing with all levels of employees required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Experience working effectively and accurately in a high volume, fast paced environment required
  • Experience effectively managing and prioritizing multiple tasks required
  • Experience working independently on detailed projects and special programs required
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail required
  • Experience identifying problems and recommending/implementing solutions required
  • Strong customer service focus, flexibility, and adaptability to change required
  • Ability to effectively perform in a high performance team-based environment required
  • Focus on results and ability to self motivate and work under limited supervision required
  • Experience interpreting HR policies, practices, laws, and handle highly confidential information required
  • Employee relations, coaching, counseling (including problem identification and resolution with employees and/or supervisors, EAP referrals, etc) preferred
  • SAP or similar ERP system experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR guidelines, benefits, and compensation plans preferred
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
