Human Resources Recruiter

job summary:
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for a variety of activities relating to the identification, recruitment and selection of associates. Ensures adherence to all policies governing the employment process. Serves as a point of contact or liaison between Talent Acquisition and internal and external customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES. Maintains procedures and methods for recruiting by studying the effect of market conditions on recruitment and identifying sources of local and national talent supply.2. Serves as a front line ambassador for client to promote a positive organizational image.3. Maintains and develops recruiting contacts with external and internal sources (professional organizations, local groups, and other sources).4. Conducts external recruiting activity, including attendance at job fairs and alternative sources, to develop a candidate database.5. Supports business operations for assigned areas. Recruits candidates in compliance with and in support of client?s equal employment opportunity philosophy. Explains company structure and benefits to candidates. Interviews and evaluates recruited candidates and makes recommendations to hiring managers.6. Provides training and develops interview guides and other services for those involved in staffing, as requested.7. Provides input for monthly report of all recruiting activity, highlighting successes and opportunities for continuous improvement.8. Administers and tracks employment, EEO and other programs within company policy, procedure and compliance.9. Interviews and assesses candidates to present the top 3- 5 individuals to hiring area. Provides their assessment of the candidates to the decision makers.10. Recruits for a mix of non-exempt and exempt positions for designated specialization. Is networked with various professional and diversity organizations.11. Partners with Recruiting Specialists and management on various projects and staffing initiatives.12. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Undergraduate studies in Human Resource Management, Business or related discipline.Experience: A minimum of four years in a recruiting function. Experience in an HR or business operation desirable.Knowledge: Must have proven knowledge in state and federal employment laws. Knowledge of the specialized needs of financial, technical, and insurance industry recruiting. Knowledge of insurance company and/or financial services operations, especially the various types of careers/jobs.Skills/Competencies: Strong communications skills, listening, written and verbal. Ability to identify recruiting needs and candidate sources. Organizational skills to plan and coordinate recruiting needs for assigned products, business operation, and job function/customer. Ability to assess candidates, competencies and experience in relation to jobs.
