Financial Compliance Associate

job summary:
This role is responsible for supporting the Firm's Ethics and Compliance group. This role performs various functions related to personal independence compliance.

This role will assist partners, employees, and/or pre-hires in complying with the personal independence policies and procedures, particularly at critical points in their association with the Firm (such as prior to employment, promotion to manager or admission to the partnership, entry in the Chain of Command), during the annual self-certification of compliance completed by employees or during periodic Independence audits that are required of Partners and staff.

This role will be expected to perform multiple tasks that require judgement, fast learning and adaptability. This role will require the ability to identify critical issues and communicate effectively to manager/supervisor about these issues and potential solutions. This role will be expected to manage challenging situations and individuals should have at least a year or two of completed professional experience. This position will collaborate on a daily basis with our client facing professionals and other Ethics and Compliance team members to successfully complete their assigned tasks.

Able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Communicates clearly, both orally and in writing.

Flexible; with the ability to work well independently and as a team.

Strong computer skills including proficiency with standard Microsoft and Google applications.

Completed undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) required.

Degree should preferably be in areas of legal, finance or accounting.
