HR Compensation Analyst

job summary:


This role is responsible for conducting job analyses; more specifically, editing and writing job descriptions to be used in an organization-wide market analysis project. Based upon the information collected, the incumbent will update/create job descriptions as well as assist in evaluating and recommending job titles, determining FLSA classification, and market pricing.

This position requires the incumbent to communicate effectively with employees of all job levels and personalities. The successful candidate will have outstanding grammar and writing skills with the ability to convey information to others regardless of communication method (email, phone, face-to-face, etc.).

responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

  • Prepares job descriptions and maintains/updates them as required, including the development of new ones and retirement of obsolete ones
  • Works with managers, incumbents and HR to evaluate positions
  • Collaborates with other departments and HR on a variety of projects related to employee compensation
  • Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Works with others in HR to help educate other managers regarding compensation matters
 
qualifications:
Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field including Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or Finance strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience required
  • A minimum of two (2) years' related professional experience required
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop rapport quickly across many different job functions and departments
  • Skill in compiling, organizing and analyzing data
  • Must be organized and efficient
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and use sound judgment regarding confidentiality
  • Must be knowledgeable in the MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible and open to change
  • World at Work Certified Compensation Professional Certification preferred
