Marketing Manager

Startup distribution unit of a global electronics powerhouse is setting up shop in Charlotte, NC and has asked us to help them build their entire team. If the idea of being on the ground floor of a rocket ship is exciting to you, we should talk.

One of the strategic roles is for a Marketing Manager.

Consumer Electronics experience - displays, audio, monitors, etc. - is an ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT.

If you do not have that experience this is not going to be a fit even if you're an excellent candidate for other roles we may have on the horizon.

- Become the brand ambassador and evangelist for the product line

- Understand and be able to communicate the value statement of the product line

- Create press releases, drive new product launches, and coordinate events, and more

- Utilize Social Media in collaboration with partners in the promotion of products and brand

- Create and manage product launch campaigns

- Prepare web analytics and use Google Analytics

- Maintain calendar of projects including product refreshes and updates to websites

- Enforce brand rules and design guidelines in all marketing collateral

- Manage and create marketing deliverables

- Update and maintain company website content

- Coordinate with company web agency as needed to push new features

- Copy writing for technical products and asset/product positioning

- Become an expert on market share, brand position, and report on same

- Own the graphic design and creative projects in house and outsource as needed

- Ability to deliver product messaging and value proposition verbally and written

- PC technical skills are highly desirable

- Photoshop and Illustrator skills are required

- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects simultaneously

- Ability to work within strict time frames and meet deadlines

Background and other stuff:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related
  • 5+ years' in marketing, operations, demand planning, forecasting, or business analytics required
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Industry knowledge in consumer electronics, retail, or apparel desired
  • Expert level proficiency in MS Excel and solid math skills
  • Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and forecast accuracy metrics

  • $80K - $90K+ based on experience
