Our Client is a fast-growing distributor of professional-grade audio solutions with applications ranging from traditional TV and radio channels to the music industry (going from music lessons to live events) and COVID-19 impacted sectors such as education, business, theater, military or government. They are looking for an experienced Sales Manager candidate for their Broadcast division to manage and grow an existing portfolio of accounts as well as to acquire brand-new business. This is a full-time remote position that can be based anywhere in the U.S. and comes with a generous base salary + incentives & full benefits.

This customer-facing role requires the right blend of technical as well as customer relationship management skills that the ideal candidate will have obtained in the broadcast industry.

Our Client wants to bring someone on board a driven sales professional, an individual with a solid knowledge of the broadcast market in the U.S. combined with a strong technical aptitude (meaning if you have to demo a product be it in person or via a Zoom call, you should be able to do it without running into any issues) and an ability to build and maintain quality customer relationships.

Although having contacts in the industry is preferred (simply because knowing which TV or radio stations are planning to go through an upgrade will help speed up your sales cycle!), it is * not required *.

Skills & qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in hardware sales/rental and/or broadcast ** required **
  • Technical knowledge of audio/visual equipment ** strongly preferred **
  • Excellent prospecting and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work nights and weekends for specific trade show and event participation, as needed
  • Proficiency with MS Office & CRM software
  • BA or BS degree preferred

responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of key and major accounts, identify and qualify potential customers and develop a marketing plan to serve these customers.
  • Conduct product and/or service demos to existing and potential customers either in person or via video calls.
  • Answer all questions concerning a product or a service with appropriate coordination of sales, negotiations where required.
  • May coordinate company technical engineering support and services to ascertain Customer's needs.
  • Interpret accounts, trends and records to management.
  • Monitor competition by gathering information on pricing, products, new product activity, etc.
