Financial Services Counsel - Banking Attorney
job summary:
A major financial institution is in need of licensed attorneys with 7+ years of experience for an extensive international research project analyzing the impacts of offering an array of commercial products and services on a cross-border basis through Latin America.
This is a temporary role expected to last for 12 months in duration (an extension is possible).
Work will be 8 hours/day for 40 hours/week.
Work will be remote to start, but will move in-office when COVID settles down.

responsibilities:
The legal professionals selected for this project must be capable of:
-Reviewing and analyzing existing research, and identifying gaps;
-Developing an understanding and familiarity of the products and services offered by each line of business;
-Customizing local counsel surveys to reflect the products and services performed in each jurisdiction;
-Reviewing and communicating with local counsel to ensure appropriate responses are collected to the survey; and
-Synthesizing the survey results into a comprehensive but useful tool for the legal department.
qualifications:
-7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
-An active license to practice law.
-Ability to analyze legal issues in substantive law in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on complex legal matters.
-Extensive knowledge and understanding of research, counsel, and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
-Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-Substantive experience analyzing international legal research and/or working on time sensitive, multi-jurisdictional survey projects managing outside legal counsel.
