job summary: Growing Global Pharmaceutical Company seeks a Controller to lead one of their US Subsidiaries.   location: Farmingdale, New York job type: Permanent salary: $150,000 - 170,000 per year work hours: 9 to 6 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 10 Years   responsibilities: Supervise the accounting team responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation.Oversee the Accounting department, including budget preparation and audit functions.Ensure the timely production of periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards.Manage tax planning throughout the fiscal year and complete the annual corporate tax return.Conduct audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, collaborating with external auditors as necessary.Provide recommendations to management regarding both short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.Conduct financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal government requirements.Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.Review the planning process and propose enhancements to current methods.Manage Product Costing and Recovery.Perform other relevant duties as required or assigned.  qualifications: Minimum of 10 years experience with at least 3+ years working for a Pharmaceutical or Consumer Products Company.CPA highly desired. Proficiency in database and accounting computer applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Thorough knowledge of accounting rules and regulations.Ability to effectively utilize accounting software systems, or Finance. Please note this role requires the Controller to work in office 5 days a week.
