job summary: Our Client is seeking an InfoSec and Governance Manager to oversee the operational activities of their InfoSec department, focusing on safeguarding client data and ensuring adherence to privacy, confidentiality, and information security regulations. This role involves strategic planning and execution of an information governance program that aligns with legal requirements and organizational goals, covering the breadth of personal and company information, as well as systems infrastructure. This position would report to our Client's office located in the great Minneapolis/St Paul metropolitan area up to 4 times a week during the on-boarding period; flexible hybrid schedule afterwards. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree in business or a related field, coupled with at least five years of experience in areas such as compliance, legal, privacy, or information security. Exceptional communication skills are essential for influencing internal stakeholders and managing client relationships. Responsibilities include directing daily department operations, anticipating program adjustments for compliance, coordinating the response to data security incidents, and overseeing the team of compliance and security analysts and engineers. You will also be involved in recruitment, training, technology assessments, and the implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Staying updated with technology and regulatory changes, consulting with various stakeholders on information security needs, and recommending technological upgrades are key aspects of this role.
