We are seeking a Safety & Compliance Specialist to join a growing transportation organization in the Warwick, RI area. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring an organization's adherence to safety regulations and standards. Duties typically entail conducting regular safety inspections, facilitating employee training sessions on safety procedures, and collaborating with seasoned professionals to grasp pertinent safety guidelines and industry norms. Apply directly to this posting and/or email Sandra.Umbdenstock@Randstadusa.com with subject line " Safety & Compliance" to be considered! salary: $19 - $20.5 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Conduct daily audits of electronic logs.Prepare and submit daily reports on Hours of Service (HOS) and any violations detected.Compile and process reports for daily, weekly, or monthly summaries.Propose and ensure implementation of corrective actions to maintain ELD compliance.Monitor safety scores closely and collaborate with the Safety & Compliance team.Provide ongoing support to uphold and adhere to the Control Substance & Alcohol policy, aligning with DOT compliance standards.Keep meticulous records of roadside inspections, violations, and citations, including the severity-based CSA points assigned per inspection.Stay abreast of all FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations, ensuring full compliance at all times.Regularly update and maintain Driver Qualification folders with current credentials and requisite documentation.Conduct thorough reviews of annual Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs), comparing them meticulously with drivers' employment histories.Manage and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for drivers, covering DOT compliance, damage records, and incident/accident reports.Actively advocate for and disseminate updates regarding Safety and DOT regulations and policies throughout the organization.Identify potential areas for enhancement within safety and compliance protocols and provide constructive suggestions for improvement.Contribute to statistical reporting efforts by regularly updating identified trends and violations for analysis.
