job summary: I'm working with a tech company seeking a Senior Sales Tax Analyst to join their dynamic team. As a key player in the technology sector, we are committed to innovation, growth, and maintaining a global presence. We are looking for a candidate with a strong pedigree in global payroll transactions to lead our international payroll operations. The ideal candidate would be coming from a similar role with a mid to larger size company with a large international footprint. You will be responsible for overseeing sales tax. My client needs someone with MULTI STATE and MULTI COUNTRY experience. The ideal candidate will possess extensive international tax, a proven track record in managing international cash transactions in multiple currencies, and expertise in handling multi-state and multi-country payroll, accounting, and finance. The company is implementing SAP with Vertex Sales tax at the moment. They also have several business who use Avalara for sales tax. If you do NOT know SAP, other implementation experience would be considered.. The company has assets in all U.S.states plus the United Kingdom. The company is hoping to find someone ASAP in Denver. This role is not eligible for relocation and the office is located in the Denver Tech Center. location: Littleton, Colorado job type: Permanent salary: $105,000 - 110,000 per year work hours: 8 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 4 Years responsibilities: 1. Prepare and file accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns. 2. Research sales and use tax laws and regulations, apply relevant laws to company transactions, and recommend changes in company procedures to ensure compliance. 3. Reconcile sales and use tax general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies. 4. Participate in sales and use tax audits, collect and analyze required documentation, and respond to auditor inquiries. 5. Maintain and update our tax software system to ensure accurate tax calculations. 6. Assist in forecasting tax liabilities for budgeting and planning purposes. 7. Train and support others in the organization on sales and use tax compliance and procedures. 8. Assist with other tax-related projects as needed. qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA would be ideal but not requiredAt least 4+ years of experience in sales and use tax preparation and compliance.Strong understanding of sales and use tax laws.Proficient in SAP, Vertex and Avalara.
