job summary: The Graphic Production Artist designs and produces quality creative and effective print, digital, and web-based communications. They collaborate closely with compliance, legal, products, operations and distribution stakeholders to create effective communications that educate, inform and engage agents and policyholders. Collaborates closely with manager, designers and copywriters. ? Updates existing print materials and digital communication ? Works on communications projects including, but not limited to: email campaigns, product brochures and flyers, form revisions, direct mail promotions, and assists the graphic designer with any additional design needs. ? Identifies the most effective presentation of key information to financial professionals and IMO/Firm audiences to communicate complex financial matters ? Partners with internal and external partners to create production-ready files. ? Ensures that all artwork and files are accurate, adheres to brand standards, meets or exceeds timeline and deliverable requirements, and follows all specifications. ? Manages technical/file trouble-shooting and design issues. ? Follows all the organizational process and best practices within the project management system, file server and tools/systems. ? Thinks creatively to produce new ideas and design concepts. ? Performs other duties as assigned. ? Conducts press checks. Associates Degree; or two or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of the creative and production processes. ? Balance of typography skills, a basic understanding of photography, layout, illustration, and web/print process ? Basic understanding of image formats (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, PDF) ? Technical skills in print, digital optimization for web, retouching, 4c printing, digital file preparation, 4-color print and production processes, and pre-press delivery formats ? Understanding of graphic compression tools and their use required ? Digital workflow automation experience ? Understanding of asset management systems ? PC proficiency ? Keen eye for detail and identifying and correcting copy/design errors ? Able to partner and build relationships ? Be able to manage time appropriately and meet or exceed deadlines ? Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment ?
