Industrial Engineer with a specialization in welding in a manufacturing facility has been created to support plant expansion and ramp up of production lines. Leveraging your expertise in welding processes and equipment, you will play a key role in setting up and optimizing welding operations to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. Qualifications: 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment and Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with a preference for a Master's degree. LOCAL qualified candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Develop and implement welding processes and procedures for new production lines.
- Evaluate welding equipment options and make recommendations for purchase or lease.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new welding processes.
- Optimize welding parameters to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Train production staff on proper welding techniques and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to welding operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the production team as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow and increase productivity
- Design and improve manufacturing systems, equipment, and facilities
- Conduct time studies and establish standard operating procedures
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production issues
- Creating routings in our ERP-System
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on welding.
- Understanding of welding processes, equipment, and materials.
- Understanding of design for fixtures and tooling.
- Proven track record of successfully supporting the ramp-up of new production facilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience with common ERP-Systems
- Master's degree in industrial engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification in welding (e.g., Certified Welding Inspector).
- Experience with robotic welding systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
