Responsibilities
- Audits time records to verify salary adjustments and retroactive pay for all employees.
- Coordinates payroll runs; review documents, corrects errors and balances payroll for each pay period; compiles routine reports related to payroll activity; posts payroll adjustments to the general ledger as necessary.
- Reconciles payroll and tax withholding records.
- Reports and deposits Federal Income Tax withholding to the appropriate government.
- agency; prepares and distributes Federal W-2 forms and tapes; reconciles and submits Social Security and Medicare documents.
- Explains company payroll policies and procedures; confer with Human Resources and respond to inquiries from employees regarding changes in paychecks, time sheets and coding.
