Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the office in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, screen and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently
- Verify patients' insurance information and collect co-pays or payments as necessary
- Update and maintain patient records accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize waiting times
- Handle patient inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with other office staff to ensure efficient operations and patient satisfaction
