- Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge of shipping and export procedures, including familiarity with bills of lading and export documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Experience with purchasing and vendor management is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate transportation schedules, track shipments, and liaise with carriers to ensure timely delivery of lumber products.
- Shipping and Receiving Paperwork: Manage documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, including packing slips, bills of lading (BOLs), and customs paperwork.
- Export Documentation: Prepare and process export documentation in compliance with international shipping regulations and customer requirements. Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Compliance & Safety: occupational health & safety regulations, obtaining permits, meeting requirements for worker safety and fair labor practices, maintaining equipment in good working condition, implementing procedures for handling machinery & tools safely. Monitor and enforce safety protocols in the workplace to ensure the well-being of employees.
- Office/Clerical Tasks: Perform general office duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, filing paperwork, and maintaining office supplies inventory.
- Vendor Management: Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, including negotiating contracts, placing orders, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Rail Yard Bookings: Coordinate bookings with rail yards for transportation of lumber products via rail.
- Purchasing: Assist in purchasing activities such as obtaining quotes, placing orders, and reconciling invoices.
