Responsibilities
· Oversee all aspects of production and supervision of personnel throughout multiple departments during a limited production 2nd shift.
· Enforce health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
· Supervise, train, and lead temporary workers and full-time employees to maintain a fully staffed and qualified workforce.
· Ensure sufficient quantities and serviceable condition of resources, materials and equipment are available at all times to satisfy production specifications and deadlines.
· Receive job orders from Production Controller. Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct work activities to ensure quality, quantity and delivery requirements are met.
· Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to ensure work flows through the manufacturing process without gaps or work stoppage.
· Ensure work documentation is completed, accurate, and updated in the ERP system.
· Coordinate with other managers and key staff to make sure there is a seamless and smooth transition between shifts and that production, resupply, repair, staffing and other potential needs are properly communicated and addressed.
· Work directly on the production line when needed to backfill worker shortages and on a regular-basis to maintain process awareness and first-hand observation of problems and opportunities for improvement.
