Responsibilities
- Learn to Build Stark Bulkheads
- This is a unique hand laid fiberglass pool divider
- Each bulkhead requires 3 months to build and about 800-1,000 hours
- Blend of construction and production, using techniques from both worlds
- Verifiable experience in a production environment where there was expectation to have good attendance and learning a new skill
- Experience in a difficult environment where there was noise, dust and heavy hand tool usage
- Consider fiberglass experience a plus
- Skilled with hand tools, working in small spaces at times, on hands and knees or laminating fiberglass in a 40’ mold
- Tools used can be similar to those in woodworking, just use different blades and bits meant for fiberglass (which is like cutting and drilling rocks)
- Drill through fiberglass using specialized techniques, as each hole can take approximately 5 minutes to complete and may be drilling up to 30-35 holes
- Use hand tools, including drills, grinders, skill saws, and drill press, to complete various tasks
- Receive daily training to enhance skills and knowledge of construction techniques
- Adapt to changing job duties and tasks, as responsibilities may vary day-to-day
- Assist with short-term laminating projects and other construction-related tasks as needed
- Operate cranes to lift completed bulkead onto trucks, structures measuring 70-80ft long
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
