This is a hands-on role that provides broad exposure to all areas of the business, with substantial opportunity for career growth and professional development. location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania job type: Permanent salary: $140,000 - 150,000 per year work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 7 Years responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions for a multifamily Property Management Company, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, property-level billing, intercompany transactions, and payroll.Prepare and rigorously review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.Coordinate the preparation and distribution of comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages to ownership, including bank reconciliations and cash flow statements.Direct and review operating budgets, cash flow projections, and in-depth variance analyses.Provide continuous variance analysis, operational trend reporting, and actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.Develop, document, and enforce standardized accounting policies, procedures, and robust internal controls.Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability.Identify and implement process and system enhancements to boost accuracy and efficiency, including automation and advanced reporting tools.Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process.Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. qualifications: Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required; a CPA designation is highly desirable.7-10 years of progressive accounting experience within the property management or broader real estate industry.Proficiency with industry-standard property management accounting software (e.g., RealPage, Yardi, AppFolio, MRI).
