In this high-impact, customer-facing role, you will be the hands-on mechanical and electrical expert responsible for installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting high-speed packaging machinery directly at client manufacturing plants. Perform hands-on mechanical assembly, alignment, and electrical wiring of complex packaging equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on live production lines. Manage on-site machine commissioning, start-ups, and factory acceptance testing (FAT) at customer facilities. Conduct operator and maintenance training classes for client plant personnel. Audit and assess older machinery for conversion, retrofit, and aftermarket upgrade opportunities. Act as the lead on-site technical expert to resolve critical machine downtime emergencies. Document detailed technical field service reports outlining daily activity, machine status, and recommended parts. Collaborate closely with internal engineering and project management teams to relay design feedback from the field. Maintain rigorous adherence to plant-specific safety protocols and corporate PMMI installation standards.
