job summary: A Assembler is needed for a company that manufactures, sells, and markets non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the Medley, FL area. This job will measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints, while ensuring product quality, performing repairs, and maintaining a safe work environment. location: Medley, Florida job type: Contract salary: $16.99 - 17.00 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School responsibilities: Assembly & Manufacturing: Assemble manufactured materials and components according to blueprints, diagrams, and other instructions.Use hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.Connect pieces and secure seams using methods like riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.Perform specific assembly line tasks such as punching holes or bending gutters. Quality & Rework: Ensure quality in assembled products, including accuracy of the bill of materials (BOM).Conduct quality work checks and identify product defects.Rework and/or repair assembled equipment based on engineering specification changes. Workplace Management: Maintain inventory of products in the workstation.Keep a clean and safe work area.Adhere to all established quality standards and safety procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.If no HS diploma or GED, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. Technical Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Ability to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
