Understanding of G-code and M-code programming; ability to read and edit programs. Expertise in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Proficient use of precision measuring tools. Troubleshooting skills related to machining processes, tooling, and quality issues. Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications to determine appropriate set-up procedures. Verify machine settings and program operation before and during the production run to ensure parts meet tight tolerance and quality standards. Make necessary adjustments to offsets and tooling as required to maintain quality throughout the run. Monitor machine operation and make minor program edits (G&M code) as needed for optimization and troubleshooting. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
