As part of the Centralized Record Control Center (CRCC), the Record Management Specialist is primarily responsible for the retrieval, delivery and refiling of the hospital’s paper medical record when needed for treatment (patient care), payment, operations, or research purposes for all hospital sites. The Record Management Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring records are returned in a timely manner and work with HIM Record Management team leads and/or manager to escalate issues, urgent requests and assure timely return of patient health records. salary: $22 - $23 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Retrieves and returns records from various physical locations, including regular bulk deliveries Process requests for the paper record by running eCare pull lists and email requests received Coordinates the prompt flow, transfer and retrieval of hospital paper medical records between the record control locations and the requesting location Performs a diligent search to locate all paper records requested with an understanding of how records are cataloged/indexed at the offsite storage warehouse Using the offsite storage warehouse record tracking system, carefully orders and updates records for various sites ensuring the appropriate priority and delivery location are selected. Utilize image/scan on demand functionality as directed by team lead and/or manager Promptly investigates record location problems brought to the attention of the CRCC via telephone, in writing or in person.
