Our client is a leading healthcare company with a need for an experienced Medical Administrative Assistant/Medical Office Clerk in Pasadena, CA. This position will require the employee to process orders and requests for medical equipment. The schedule is provided 1-month in advance, but will require weekends. Previous experience should include excellent service skills while interacting with medical staff and patients, recent medical office support experience, and knowledge of medical insurances, benefits, and eligibility. This is a 3-month assignment to start, with potential to extend.salary: $23 - $25 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 9 AM - 6 PMeducation: AssociateResponsibilities Receives, reviews and authorizes the referrals for DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and P&O orders. Receives, reviews and processes referrals for DME and P&O orders. Review and complete the Notice of Non-Coverage (NONC) Process Interprets Benefits for each patient as it applies to DME criteria Maintains an understanding of Regulatory Requirements Investigates and tracks pertinent patient information. Authorize and orders equipment from outside vendors, analyzing and processing DME forms and reviews medical review to ascertain appropriateness of ordered equipment or prosthesis. Performs related departmental duties according to established DME policies and procedures. DME Clerk must have demonstrated a history of excellent service skills exhibited by courtesy, cooperative spirit and tact when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
