job summary: Our client is looking to add a Concrete Assistant Project Manager to their team for a project located in Pasadena, CA. This is a contract opportunity with the potential to be hired directly at the conclusion of the project. The Concrete Assistant Project Manager works as an essential team member that is accountable for the success of concrete projects through precise and timely estimating, proposal development, subcontractor selection, analysis of concrete systems and logistics, and field operations support. The CAPM collaborates with relevant experts to drive results, set ambitious objectives, and prioritize tasks to overcome challenges, ensuring concrete work in the field is positioned for success. Set up and control the detail Concrete estimate template ? Establish initial labor production rates ? Coordinate with VDC in organizing and obtaining quantity take-offs from the Tekla Concrete Model Phase Code ? Establish quantity take-offs where needed if not provided via the Tekla Concrete Model ? Collaborate with Operations to create the preliminary Concrete schedule and Logistics plan ? Procure Concrete subcontractors (ready mix, reinforcing steel, shotcrete, form supply, pump/place/finish, and precast) by preparing Invitations to Bid (ITB's) and evaluating proposals (via the Bid Evaluation tool) to make final subcontractor selection with Operations. ? Create the Concrete Proposal, including Cover Letter, Bid Form, Additional Provisions, Schedule, Logistics plans, etc. ? Setup Concrete estimate reviews with the Chief Concrete Estimator, Director of Concrete, ?
