Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining and preparing an accurate and GAAP compliant general ledger
- Assist in managing payroll processing employee payroll, maintaining employee records, and managing benefits
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries to reflect financial transactions in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Track inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain documentation related to inventory management.
- Monitor and track company equipment, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain schedules for debt, assets, and depreciation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and file various tax returns, including payroll, sales tax, and tangible tax, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Utilize Quickbooks Enterprise for construction accounting purposes, and assist in migrating to Viewpoint Spectrum.
- Generate financial reports, including job profitability analysis, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and other ad-hoc reports as required by management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial analysis and support decision-making processes.
- Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation and support as requested.
- Support Paula (Lead Accountant and Administrator) for ad hoc duties as required.
