Our client, a premier wholesale produce distributor based in Philadelphia, is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join our team. Reporting directly to the corporate CFO, the selected candidate will oversee the financial, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting processes for our Pennsylvania division. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the wholesale/distribution industry, preferably in a senior financial role, and will have managed the entire closing process along with financial statement creation. This individual will serve as a pivotal communicator and adept financial analyst, collaborating closely with senior managers to achieve strategic objectives, enhance sales and operational reporting, and foster the continued growth of our company.

responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly and annual financial reporting processes and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Deliver comprehensive financial updates to senior management through evaluation, analysis, and reporting of pertinent data.
- Guide financial decision-making by applying company policies and procedures within the current economic landscape.
- Develop, implement, and uphold financial controls and guidelines.
- Attain budgeting goals through meticulous scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of short- and long-term operational strategies.
- Assist in future acquisition integration activities.
qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a Financial Controller.
- Minimum of 10 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in financial statement creation and general ledger functions, including month-end/year-end close processes.
