job summary:
The Assistant Controller is primarily responsible for managing the accounting, financial
reporting, treasury/cash management and bank financing activities This is
a hands-on position, covering many activities listed above. In addition, the person in this position
will supervise the work of other accounting team members and perform controller
responsibilities under the direction of the Corporate Controller and Group CFO.
Work Instructions, Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Work with accounting team members for accurate and timely preparation of monthly
financial statements and review of the financial reporting package prior to distribution to
senior management
- Prepare quarterly accounting package for our International Accounting & Finance team in the
Netherlands to consolidate with international subsidiaries
- Backup and support Accounting Manager with the entry of data into various subsidiary
records and general ledger accounting systems e.g., sales, cash receipts, inventory,
production, bank activity etc.
- Insure timely reconciliation of general ledger and intercompany accounts with subsidiary
records
- Maintain various performance metrics and provide other analysis as may be required
Inventory Costing
- Work closely with Accounting Manager on all aspects of inventory control and costing and
final postings of inventory into subsidiary records and general ledger
- Review all inventory costings under full-absorption accounting including material, labor and
overhead costs
- Collaborate with Accounting Manager on inventory control and tracking procedures to
ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory system
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Provide support and assistance to Corporate Controller and CFO related to the budget and
forecasting process
- Assist with preparation and monitoring budgets including Capital Expenditures, Information
Technology, and Repairs & Maintenance

Cash and Credit Management
- Perform daily cash/treasury management functions including monitoring cash flow and
requirements of our bank financing
- Maintain account receivable listing and follow up on outstanding receivables with account
representatives
- Assist with foreign currency transactions as necessary
- Prepare monthly bank borrowing base certificates
- Work closely with Bank field examiners and compliance auditors, preparing and providing
them with requested information
- Approve wire transfers and ACH payments
- Review check requests and sign checks
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and international accounting regulations and standards
- Work closely with auditors, prepare and provide requested information for annual financial
statement audit
- Assist with certain KYC/compliance checks
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting principles and financial reporting through continue
education and professional certifications
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate and improve workflow with other accounting team members
- Work collaboratively with our International Accounting, Finance and Treasury management
team based in Netherlands
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations
Other Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of accounting software including MS Dynamics
365 - Business Central, including identification and implementation of improved use of
software capabilities
- Assess current accounting related systems and provide recommendations for efficiency
improvements and costs savings
- Assist Corporate Controller with property and casualty insurance renewals, claims, and other
reporting
- Work directly with our credit insurance company
- Perform financial analysis and other special projects as requested by senior management
team

responsibilities:
Minimum of a bachelors' degree in related field plus five years' experience in accounting,
financial reporting, cash/treasury management, and inventory costing/control preferably in a
manufacturing environment. CPA certificate is a plus. Demonstrated knowledge in the above
areas including US GAAP. Experience working with automated financial and accounting
reporting systems. Detailed oriented with strong analytical and effective communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Computer proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
Experience with MS Dynamics 365 - Business Central and PowerBI a plus.
