responsibilities:
- Lead the Accounting Team: Supervise daily activities including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management.
- Financial Management: Oversee general ledger maintenance, financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, financial statement reporting, and balance sheet analysis.
- Strategic Oversight: Manage working capital, forecasting, and analysis to drive financial performance.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to company policies, practices, and US GAAP while maintaining robust internal controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the tax team for sales tax filings and with the CFO on banking, vendor, and risk management relationships.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for system enhancements and implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis.
qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree or CPA is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in accounting leadership, preferably in the wholesale consumer goods industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Leadership Qualities: Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
