responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Technician I is an entry level position in the chemistry lab which produces basic technical Accomplishments in several major areas including; General Appraisal, e.g., sampling, testing and evaluation, recording and disposition, etc., General Prevention; data analysis, process studies, team participation, etc., Equipment/Materials, e.g, operate, maintain, calibrate, etc., to provide accurate and responsive Quality information to internal and external customers.
Working under the following conditions and criteria:
- Works under close supervision following generally understood methods. Will perform media prep, sample collection & shipments, physical testing including: particle size, moisture balance, bulk density, etc.
- Generates and reviews facts, and determines appropriate action within prescribed limits.
- Routine contact within organization requiring tact; external contact where tact required but responsibility rests with supervisor.
- Most of work not verified; errors may adversely affect internal operations or outside relationships.
qualifications:
- Works in a lab and/or manufacturing environment.
- General academic education plus completion of two (2) years college level related science courses or equivalent work experience, and/or demonstrated experience in laboratory procedures
- Willing to train! Will be working with scales, pH meters, moisture balances, particle testing equipment. Again, not particularly complex in most cases.
