Responsibilities
As a Materials Specialist, job duties include:
- Conduct regular physical inventory checks to verify stock levels and ensure accuracy.
- Label inventory bins/locations appropriately to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval processes.
- Add physical inventory bins/locations as required based on organizational needs.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to request the creation of bins in the ERP system to accurately reflect physical inventory setup.
- Work closely with the ERP system to update inventory data accurately and in a timely manner. This includes adding new parts to the system, based on physical inventory, supplied equipment BOMs (Bill of Materials), and working parts inventory logs.
- Create part labels and ensure they are applied correctly to existing inventory as well as newly delivered inventory.
- 2+ years of experience working as a Materials Specialist or experience with inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with MRO/ERP systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
