Responsibilities
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries and assist with the month-end closing process.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and weekly credit card account reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
- Respond to audit requests and assist with SG&A expense processing and check runs.
- Manage daily transaction roll-forwards and reconciliations.
- Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Oversee the W-9 verification process and prepare supplier credit applications for approval.
- Support research and compliance efforts for sales and payroll taxes.
- Create and maintain various Excel spreadsheets to analyze financial data.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned by accounting management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Three to five years of accounting experience, with a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
- Internet savvy with a working knowledge of web-based applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
