Responsibilities
- Undertakes necessary actions on overdue accounts and keeps a detailed online record of all relevant information and steps taken.
- Identifies causes of delinquency and arranges fair payment plans with members' cooperation, ensuring they adhere to the updated schedule.
- Offers financial guidance to members in financial distress, assisting them in finding solutions to maintain homeownership, including through programs like HAMP and proprietary modifications.
- Proficient in all aspects of FNMA guidelines for delinquency and default prevention and management.
- Ensures prompt receipt, organization, tracking, and documentation of required information and packages.
- Reviews member records, determines appropriate actions, and selects methods for implementation.
- Negotiates repayment plans with delinquent members, seeking mutually acceptable terms such as extension agreements or payment adjustments.
- Provides recommendations for next steps if members reject satisfactory repayment options, such as foreclosure, repossession, litigation, or charge-off, ensuring proper documentation.
- Conducts skip-tracing by reaching out to third parties like relatives, employers, creditors, or credit bureaus to locate and communicate with members with unknown whereabouts for collection purposes.
- Prepares various reports and logs for review and may represent the client during local Small Claims hearings as needed.
- Advises on accounts to be charged off when collection efforts prove ineffective.
