Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the timely availability of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on criteria such as quality, reliability, cost, and delivery capabilities. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and finance, to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Manage the procurement process from purchase requisition to receipt of goods, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality discrepancies, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
- Implement inventory management best practices to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize stockouts while ensuring product availability to support production schedules.
