Responsibilities
Overview:
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the efficient flow of goods within throughout a warehouse. You will be at the forefront of handling incoming shipments, ensuring their accuracy and condition, as well as preparing outgoing shipments efficiently. Your responsibilities will also extend to operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively. Your role will not only involve meticulous attention to detail but also effective communication with various departments to optimize logistical processes and uphold commitments to timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving Incoming Shipments:
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming shipments.
- Report any discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Organize stock for optimal storage.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders accurately.
- Generate shipping documents and schedule pickups.
- Ensure outgoing shipments meet quality standards.
- Properly label and package items for transit.
- Coordinate with internal departments.
- Collaborate with logistics team for efficiency.
