Product Manager opportunities with a client located in the Columbus, OH area for candidates with a strong working knowledge of HVAC principals and components ideally associated with precision cooling environments. Client is looking for candidates with any of the following: warranty and contracts or precision cooling systems upgrades. Positions have an incentive base plan in addition to a strong base salary. Excellent benefits and relocation will be considered on a case by case basis.

Responsibilities for the Product Manager

  • Provides technical sales and marketing support and leadership for developing and sustaining thermal extended warranty and maintenance contract offerings or developing and sustaining precision cooling system upgrade offerings
  • Support service business growth in identifying and developing new business
  • Provide sustaining support on all aspects related to the specific area of expertise
  • Support development of sales tools to enhance sales productivity and growth
  • Develop presentations and support Sales associates in implementation of the area of expertise
  • Research industry landscape to identify and analyze the competition to ensure new and existing offerings are competitive
  • Other duties as specific to the area of expertise

Requirements for the Product Manager

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Technology or a Business, Marketing or related degree
  • Approximately 5 or more years experience in precision cooling systems marketing and sales, application engineering or closely related similar experience
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC principals and components
  • Data Center infrastructure understanding
  • Good working knowledge of the general selling process and commercial issues
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed to work with vendors or sales associates (10% or less)
