job summary: Very reputable and well established manufacturing company is looking for a promotable Electrical Engineer in the Charlotte, NC Area. This role comes with a very competitive base salary ranging from $65k to $80k plus relocation assistance, medical/dental insurance, matching 401k plan, PTO, etc. The ideal candidate will possess a BSEE along with experience as an electrical engineer in a manufacturing environment. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. location: Charlotte, North Carolina job type: Permanent salary: $65,000 - 80,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for designing electrical control systems and panels, creating layout drawings, select control, power, and protection components. Able to identify and set optimal control parameters for VFD control.Responsible for conducting unit tests, integration tests, and system tests with project peers. Ability to create and release through ECN/ECR process the bills of materials and drawings into a Product Data Management system. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities: Experience and ability to design, implement and test industrial control products and systems Knowledge of UL 508, CSA 22.2-33 standards, NFPA 70, and OSHA standards and regulations as well as the certification process.Knowledge and application experience with Motor Control Systems via Variable Frequency Drives and Contactor based control. Experience with Closed Loop and Open Loop motor control methods. Experience with sensor selection, implementation, and verification for motor control systems. Experience with setup of configurated industrial control panels.
