An Electrical PCB Engineer is needed in the Rochester, NY area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This role involves independently troubleshooting complex electrical issues, developing and modifying engineering assemblies and schematics using Altium software, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

responsibilities:
- Identify and troubleshoot complex electrical problems independently.
- Develop and modify engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings.
- Interface with internal and external customers regarding electrical issues for specific projects.
- Perform engineering ECAD design of complex scope.
- Define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports as required.
- Propose design trade-offs and resolve implementation issues.
- Prioritize quality design and observe design for test and manufacturability principles.
- Understand impedance control requirements for electrical and RF circuits.
- Proficiency in Altium software for PCB/PCBA design.
- Experience creating and modifying schematics under engineer direction.
- Generate library symbols, footprints, and 3D drawings for components.
- Investigate and implement PCB design trends and processes.
- Demonstrate creativity, innovation, and solution-focused mindset.
- Establish positive working relationships and foster teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Altium or Mentor PCB Design software.
- Familiarity with Mechanical CAD tools such as Siemens NX.
- strong knowledge of PCB design best practices and standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in RF Circuit PCB design.
- Experience using Altium PCB Design software.
