MEP Construction Estimators are needed for a leading construction organization in the Atlanta metro area. The MEP Construction Estimators are responsible for estimating electrical trades, mechanical trades, low-medium voltage materials and associated systems. In addition, the Estimators will read develop estimates from HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans and specifications as they relate to electrical and mechanical work.
Qualified candidates must have 7+ years of estimating experience and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of MEP Systems and have experience considering raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation for estimations. Familiarity with commercial trade software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst is preferred. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.

responsibilities:
- Read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans and specifications as they relate to electrical work
- Estimate commercial projects within core markets, including Data Centers, Aviation, Higher Education, and Corporate/Commercial Office
- Perform quantity take-offs and communicate with electrical equipment and material vendors, electrical subcontractors, owners, and other design members
- Prepare electrical cost estimates from the conceptual phase to design development through final construction documents
- Review and validate subcontractor proposal pricing and change orders
- Develop value analysis by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient
- Train junior estimators
