An Industrial Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Hickory, NC area. This role involves applying scientific, technological, and mathematical principles to optimize manufacturing processes and facility layouts, ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance.

responsibilities:
- Plan plant, office, and production facilities and equipment layouts.
- Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
- Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
- Solve complex problems independently by examining pertinent facts and evidence.
- Seek direction for issues that cross functional areas or have broad impacts.
- Work under limited site supervision and coordinate activities beyond routine tasks.
- Recommend process improvements and meet or exceed deadlines.
- Considerable technical and content knowledge of the job.
- Full mastery of regular situations encountered.
- Ability to solve the vast majority of problems independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
