Responsibilities
- Maintain Mold History Records (Minor Repairs and Preventative Maintenance) using the ISO2009:2008 form.
- Disassemble molds for cleaning. Cleaning includes disassembly of mold, cleaning each piece of tooling and visually inspecting for wear and damage. Details as clogged or dirty vents, damaged ejector pins, polishing pitted or dirty areas, etc. might be re-worked or replaced as needed.
- Fit and assemble component parts into mold cavities and verify dimensions, alignment, and clearance.
- Available to deal with mold problems as and when they arise during production.
- Must be able to use and read blue prints and precision measuring equipment.
- Organize molds in racks so any mold can be found quickly and easily.
- Contiuously maintain clear identification labels and all molds.
- Determine items that need to be purchased or replaced by submitting a request to the Plastics Department Supervisor.
- Maintain spare parts inventory (as spare pins, spare bushings, etc.) for molds.
- Will fabricate basic parts using manual machinery equipment (lathes, drills, mills, and surface grinders).
The essential functions of this role include:

- working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
