responsibilities:
- Schedule Preparation and Maintenance:
- Prepare routine laboratory buffers and solutions on schedule.
- Maintain and reorder materials for buffers.
- Prepare routine laboratory buffers and solutions on schedule.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Complete daily laboratory walk-throughs and safety checks.
- Store and dispose of hazardous wastes following safety procedures.
- Enforce lab safety codes to ensure employee safety.
- Liaison with EH&S and lab waste disposal services.
- Complete daily laboratory walk-throughs and safety checks.
- Facilities Management:
- Communicate with laboratory supervisor for facility maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in lab spaces and storage areas.
- Coordinate access requests and lab safety training.
- Communicate with laboratory supervisor for facility maintenance.
- Inventory and Procurement:
- Support inventory tracking system for science supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate purchasing of supplies and equipment with supervisor.
- Manage reagent/common consumables store.
- Support inventory tracking system for science supplies and equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Assist with maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Interact with equipment vendors on service calls.
- Assist with maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain a reference library of scientific resources.
- Communicate and coordinate lab usage requests.
- Complete simple ad-hoc requests from supervisors/managers and lab users.
- Maintain a reference library of scientific resources.

- Familiarity with safety data sheets and chemical hygiene practices.
- Ability to read, understand, and comply with detailed procedures.
