We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist I to support a centralized Employee Relations and Appeals team. In this role, you will assist with the administration and case management of employee appeals, with a primary focus on cases related to employment separation decisions. The ideal candidate will have organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of handling sensitive and confidential employee information. salary: $20 - $24 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities Support the intake, tracking, and case management of employee appeals and review requests. Coordinate and organize case documentation for appeals committee review. Prepare comprehensive case packets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established processes. Maintain detailed records and case files while meeting deadlines and compliance requirements. Communicate professionally with employees, HR partners, managers, and senior leadership regarding case status and documentation needs. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information and ensure timely case progression. Handle highly confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism. Ensure all appeal activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and applicable employment practices. Assist with reporting, documentation audits, and process improvement initiatives as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, case management, or an administrative support role. Attention to detail with the ability to review and organize complex documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact confidently and professionally with employees and leaders at all organizational levels, including senior executives.
