job summary: Our client, an industry leader in entertainment, seeks an experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in hydrology and hydraulics, focusing on open-channel flow, pipelines, and flood mitigation. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of experience in municipal, consulting, or related fields, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Acrobat, or Bluebeam Revu. A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. location: Anaheim, California job type: Contract salary: $55 - 65 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: This position requires full-time availability (40 hours/week) and involves reviewing historical drawings, documentation, on-site information, and internal knowledge to optimize the construction and operation of waterway systems. Fieldwork is conducted to assess utilities infrastructure and gather data. Additionally, engineering and technical direction is provided to consultants for civil studies, reports, plans, and construction drawings. Hydrologic and hydraulic engineering studies are reviewed as the Owner's Representative, with recommendations provided for future projects. Concept designs and Request for Proposals (RFPs) are developed, and contract documents and calculations for lift stations, weir systems, and pipelines are reviewed. Equipment and construction specifications are also developed. The role includes attending and participating in site visits, offering problem-solving expertise from concept to construction. Independently, calculations, drawings, and specifications are reviewed to ensure compliance with codes and standards, focusing on constructability, efficiency, and long-term maintainability. Design issues are creatively resolved, coordinating with other disciplines. Concise decision matrices are provided to support executive decisions. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to develop, communicate, and enforce design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details for the company. Acting as a liaison with City officials and external agencies ensures project compliance.
