Randstad Finance & Accounting (Tatum) has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting & Business Planning Manager available with a manufacturing client located in Pendergrass, GA. This position is responsible for oversight of the Accounting/Finance function for accurate and timely reporting of financial results, safeguarting assets, cash management and finance activities. Will supervise the Business Planning function for company-wide policy management, budget management and financial forecasting.

responsibilities:
- Check department budget, goals and objectives, and monitor goals and targets.
- Report timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review and make analysis gap of reasonableness of all financial transactions.
- Check accuracy of vendor invoices and ensure timely payment of all accounts considering optimal terms.
- Check performing accurate billing and timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Check performing all duties associated with physical inventory administration, final variance analysis, and implementing countermeasures.
- Check processing payroll in an accurate and timely manner. Resolve any payment discrepancies as soon as reasonably possible.
- Interact with external auditors and prepare appropriate materials for external clients.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to reduce costs and improve company efficiencies.
- Check cost analysis and other management accounting reports.
- Check performing cash management to avoid cash shortages and to minimize financing costs.
- Lead semi-annual business planning and budgeting process.
- Check safeguarding company assets by providing a full detailed accounting of all fixed assets that trace to physical property.
- Check meeting all tax, governmental, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Check performing cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Check conducting inventory costing and analysis.
- Check developing policy, procedures, and internal controls.
- Perform job duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including OSHA and EPA. Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Follow all aspects of the site Environmental Policy as it pertains to normal job duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree (Finance, Accounting, Business)
- Expressed knowledge, skill, and abilities for independent contribution and project management
- +10 years or more demonstrated experience in related field and role for successful independent contribution and full cycle project management; at least 2+ years' managing a team
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Bilingual in Japanese is a plus.
- Proven track record in implementing cost savings utilizing information technology and process improvement.
- Experience with an integrated ERP system (Mapics or SAP).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel to include: formulas, formatting, cell linking, charts and drawing, and the ability to construct interactive financial models.
- Ability to assimilate and analyze data to present to management a complete framework for decision-making.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural, team oriented environment.
- Fully responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, coordinating and evaluating projects
- Gives work direction to others in support roles on projects; functions as a leader in department-initiated cross-functional teams
- Included in resolving problems that have an important effect on company projects and business results
- Leads development of solutions/innovations for complex business projects/challenges
- Plans, organizes and gives direction to associates at other levels
- Participates in the development of Department G&O as it relates to department; plays major role in development of overall G&Os
- Applies the PDCA cycle to daily work processes
- Is involved in department schedules and budget completion
- Is familiar with and applies Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, and Standardization practices
- Promote and foster activities and communication to create and maintain good associate morale
- Set example and confirm associates adhere to safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Promote kaizen activities, SEQDCM, lead team members on department G&O's
