Tatum is supporting a private equity group who is looking for a Director to join their organization. The firm is based in DFW and invests in a variety of industries including manufacturing & distribution, services, and tech enabled businesses. The firm is very acquisitive, and while they diligently manage their portfolio companies, their primary focus is creating value and growth through acquisitions.
This is a great opportunity to join an experienced leadership team and work shoulder-to-shoulder in building out a successful and diverse portfolio of companies.
The Director will be a professional who has worked in transaction advisory, investment banking, or some other type of deal centric environment-demonstrating strong business acumen and insight, and having a good ability to analyze a business for investment purposes. This person will be involved with all aspects of the transaction and post close value creation efforts.

responsibilities:
- Work closely with Managing Directors (MDs) on all aspects of investment activity-from origination to exit
- Evaluate and advise on investment opportunities per the firm's investment criteria; establish an investment thesis and help with structuring/negotiating terms for the investment
- Build and maintain relationships with business owners and various referral partners to help with deal flow
- Develop a rich understanding of market conditions aligning with firm's strategy in an effort to identify the right investment opportunities and the right timing
- Communicate effectively across the firm, and with potential partners in supporting a success transaction and post close integration
- Work closely with portfolio company leadership and firm resources in an effort to unlock all the value possible for the organization
qualifications:
- Experience in transaction advisory, investment banking, or other deal focused organization
- Experience analyzing and underwriting successful transactions
- Strong educational background, CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Effective communication skills, need to be able to work with a variety of personalities and styles
- Good time management and ability to set expectations with competing priorities
