We're partnering with a multi-family office and investment firm in the White Plains area that is seeking a Hands on Controller, an analytical thinker to oversee all aspects of its accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, SEC compliance, and internal controls. The firm offers a close-knit, family-office environment with a collaborative, collegial atmosphere and a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy work culture. Wealth management setting is a plus but not required.

responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage the firm's budget and cash flow projections
- Oversee the firm's tax filings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including preparation of a monthly reporting package for the partners
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls for SEC compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable SEC regulations, including Form ADV filings and other required disclosures
- Monitor and address any regulatory changes that may impact the firm's operations
- Advise the firm on regulatory matters related to accounting and finance
- Collaborate with the current compliance vendor to ensure best practices and provide additional support where applicable
- Assist the Family Office Services team with the accounting needs of select high-net-worth
qualifications:
7+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
- Familiarity with the wealth management industry at an RIA or family office a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA is a plus
- Analytical mindset with proven ability to balance tactical, hands-on management of daily accounting operations with high-level strategic thinking; must be capable of rolling up sleeves on day-to-day needs while also serving as a thought partner to the executive team.
