We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Scientist to join our Developability & Preformulation Sciences (DPFS) group. DPFS is part of the global Biologics Drug Product Development and Manufacturing (BioDPD&M) organization, a critical R&D function enabling the manufacturing of stable and deliverable dosage forms along the complete development timeline from molecule selection to commercial tech transfer.

responsibilities:
- Be part of a team with global responsibility for enabling candidate selection within company's promising pipeline of biotherapeutics and for determining the formulation design space for a variety of biotherapeutic modalities.
- Help chart the roadmap to continuously improving capabilities in the prediction, characterization, and control of the molecular liabilities that limit the development of stable and manufacturable drugs.
- Be responsible for timely execution of laboratory studies in support of developability assessments and preformulation workflows.
- Design and lead laboratory research focused in the areas of therapeutic candidate credentialing technologies, characterization of protein solution properties, and the molecular basis of high concentration behaviors.
qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in Biochemistry or a related discipline 0+ year of experience. Candidates with a MS 2+ years of experience or BS with 4+ years of experience will also be considered.
- Strong work ethic, team- and project-focused, and motivated to produce high quality data on an aggressive timeline.
- Solid understanding of protein structure, chemistry, and degradation mechanisms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of the fundamental biopharmaceutical principles of developing injectable biologic drug products.
- Broad working knowledge of biochemical and biophysical characterization methods such as chromatography, CE-SDS, gel electrophoresis and western blotting, UV/CD/fluorescence spectroscopies, calorimetry, light scattering, and sedimentation.
- iLab experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with AAVs to support drug product development of gene therapy programs.
