responsibilities:
- Design and perform in-vivo pharmacology experiments to support project goals, including data collection and report writing.
- Summarize and present study data to project teams.
- Generate pharmacology reports to support IND submissions.
- Transform novel research approaches into routine practices.
- Use state-of-the-art tools and approaches to enhance in-vivo evaluations of new therapeutics.
- Identify and develop ex vivo analytical tools to maximize read-outs from in-vivo studies.
- Act as a technical contributor and troubleshoot experiments.
- Support the development of disease-relevant in-vivo models.
- Maintain meticulous and compliant laboratory notebooks.
- Adhere to all federal, local, and company animal welfare guidelines.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant research experience in a biopharmaceutical setting OR a Ph.D. in Immunology or Pharmacology with 1 year of relevant research experience.
- Deep knowledge of immunology and a mechanistic understanding of autoimmune or inflammatory pathologies.
- Extensive in-vivo pharmacology expertise with rodent inflammatory models.
- Hands-on experience with in-vivo dosing (subcu, IP, IV, PO), bleeding, and animal handling techniques.
- Proficiency in basic surgical techniques.
- Experience in molecular, cellular biology, and immunological assays (e.g., Flow cytometry, cytokine measurement).
- Experience with compound or reagent preparation.
- Ability to work under moderate supervision.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping.
- Ability to multi-task between multiple projects.
- Experience running various IBD models (DSS, CD40, TNBS, T Cell Transfer Colitis) and performing endoscopy.
- Experience with organ harvesting and processing.
- Experience with in-vitro assays such as Flow cytometry and MSD.
