The primary function of a QC Chemist III is to perform to a high level in qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analysis in support of all of the following areas:
- Analysis of raw materials and packaging components
- Analysis of in-process and finished drug products (including stability) of primarily high-volume products - Analysis of high potency products

responsibilities:
- Completes routine and non-routine testing independently. May perform non-routine testing, method validation, and instrument qualification with limited supervision.
- Strong understanding of Analytical Chemistry and can independently perform most testing required in the QC Lab
- High understanding of cGMP, DEA regulations, and Quality Procedures for working in a QC Lab
- Knows the concepts of statistical treatment of experimental data. Proposes conclusion congruent with experimental results
- Identifies non-routine technical problems and recommends solutions. Has a strong skill set for OOS, OOT, and aberrant result investigations a Chemist III has an advanced level of understanding of lab instruments and equipment knowledge and advanced trouble shooting skills. May participate in technical discussions with other departments.
- Documentation - A Chemist III creates documents from templates
- Ethics - Has declarative and procedural knowledge of "Data Integrity and Ethics"
qualifications:
- BA/BS in Chemistry w/ 3 - 5 yrs experience
- BS Related scientific field w/ 6+ yrs experience
- MS Chemistry w/ 2 - 4 yrs experience
